We offer all KS3 students science and cover topics from the National Curriculum. Learning is based around themes and is supported by practical activities whenever possible. Following a baseline assessment, students are taught in small groups with differentiation provided by individual teachers and support staff.

KS4 students are offered AQA Biology GCSE. Occasionally if a year 11 student joins us in the spring term and has completed other science GCSE courses until then, they are supported in continuing these and taking the exams.

We are currently teaching Entry Level Certificate in Science (ELC) to year 9, and we continue in year 10 and 11 for students who are not taking GCSE science.

We have a science lab, where there are facilities for practical work. Some lessons take place in classrooms and we use the garden and field area for learning about environmental topics.
